Infrared Preheating Module
• Conveyor speed can typically be increased by 25–50% in existing lines (application dependent).
• Gas consumption per part decreases compared to conventional-only operation.
• In powder coating, the powder film is gelled in the IR zone before entering the convection oven, which helps eliminate finish defects caused by powder overspray and reduces the need to clean coating build-up from the oven’s internal walls.

Infrared Preheating Modules (PHM) are installed at the entrance of existing baking (curing) and drying ovens in conveyor-type powder coating and liquid paint lines. The infrared zone raises the part temperature rapidly before it enters the conventional oven, allowing the part to enter at a higher and more stable temperature.
By reducing the time required for heat-up inside the main oven, PHM systems can increase conveyor speed and, as a result, improve overall production capacity (application dependent).
In powder coating applications, the powder film is gelled before entering the convection oven. This helps prevent powder overspray and loose powder circulation inside the oven, keeping the interior cleaner and reducing paint defects.
Because parts enter the oven already preheated, the oven uses energy primarily to maintain temperature rather than heating parts from ambient helping reduce natural gas consumption per part while sustaining the same throughput (process dependent).
